Our 21st Century Military

The saddest truth about the dear hearts that have and continue to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan is that a large majority come from poor and low-income families because the wealthy and the politicians who started these wars, almost exclusively, did not want their children in harms way. These brave sons and daughters come from the very families that the wealthy and our legislators blame for our economic woes instead of blaming the wars and greed that have cost our country dearly. These families have sacrificed their children and are now being ridiculed, left hungry, homeless, uneducated and ailing. Now is the time to decide who the true Americans patriots are. Is it those who sit in the boardroom or walk the halls of Congress whose unbridled greed and profiteering is getting us into these wars or is it those who sacrifice the only thing of value they have left, their sons and daughters who serve our country so selflessly?
